What inspired you to start your business?

I was completely intrigued by the notion that you could create your dream life and skies the limit on what you may obtain.  What did that mean?! For a dreamer like me who is competitive with myself, I saw a beautiful life, had grand ideas and wanted to explore them and achieve all the visions in my head.

How do you stay motivated through the ups and downs of your business?

I rely heavily on my “higher purpose”, my “mission” in this lifetime.  This allows me to think about life as a journey.  I pick up more information/wisdom as I go, and apply it to my evolution.  I believe that we should always find the lessons and meanings (good or bad) throughout our experience in this lifetime. And we must find what keeps us inspired, and surround ourselves with that.  For me, it’s the constant expansion of obtaining knowledge, the connections/relationships I have and the excitement of never knowing where the day may take me so I seek out experiences in all three realms to keep me motivated.  And to keep me level headed, I live a very mindful life through diet, yoga/exercise and body work/pampering!

What advice would you give the younger you?

My biggest “setbacks” or biggest areas of opportunity have been asking for help and for my self worth with money. I would have sought support earlier on helping myself deal with the parts of my business and life that are not my strong points. I strongly believed could do it all and were doing it all and that I should have known already more than I did so I was always terrified to ask for help. I also believed I as a young business owner that I was not in a place yet/didn’t know enough yet to “take money” from people for my service. I believe in charging what you’re worth, but I was charging for YEARS as though I was worth nothing.

How does your spirituality impact your business?

I’ve generally lived a life of “swimming up stream” since I was a teenager.  Life got real early on, and I was faced with my mortality at an age where my peers only cared about how their physical appearances were presented.  In order to progress further and overcome challenges, I had to connect with something deeper than just our physical forms.  I believe that my life is connected to a “mission” and working with that, I’ve grown a deeper meaning to my business where I use my “talent”, my tool of photography to connect with high vibe people in order to inspire the masses and enhance positivity and personal responsibility into this world.

How do you balance all of your commitments personally and professionally?

I’ll admit, that work life balance has been my biggest challenge. It’s something I’m currently working on. I tend to choose everyone else’s schedules but my own, and always accommodate to meet others needs even if that means I work 12 hrs a day everyday for months on end.  Whether it’s personal or professional, my relationships mean everything to me so I always show up.  But with that being said, I have the practice of never sacrificing my sleep, taking rest days, and days for body work. However, what I am working on, is working less and the best way to do that is for setting yourself up with support.  Hiring help for my business, and help around my home is a complete game changer.

What has been your biggest challenge along the way and how did you overcome it?

Hah! As I described above, my biggest challenge has been work life balance. Also mentioned were self worth around money and asking for help. I think it’s most important to recognize your biggest strengths and biggest challenges and understanding that the challenges are not necessarily flaws that have to be perfected. They are merely the areas in your life that you seek the right support for and allow others to help guide you through them so that you can continue to put out the right energy doing what you do best.

In what ways do you feel like you are impacting the world by doing the work that you do?

I knew that I wasn’t fulfilled to use my photography just for taking beautiful photos. As I mentioned before, I believe that I have a “mission” in this lifetime and that by connecting on a deeper level to myself and my business I could use my photography as a tool to get messages out through mass media and inspire the masses. I photograph those high vibe people who are up to amazing things in the world, whether they’re a celeb, influencer, or small business owner, and get their stories out through media outlets. I love helping people take their businesses to the next level. Through branded work, I can elevate their image and use and intuitive and strategic element to connect them with those that will also get them to the next level.
